Movie Review: This is the story about Sanjay Dutt and his life. One man and so many different shades is what the movie is all about. Raj Kumar Hirani once again has done the justice with this movie and the concept of the movie. No doubt, the movie is all about Sanjay Dutt and his life, but you will enjoy watching this biopic. Raj Kumar Hirani has added all the flavors and masala in this movie to make it the best. The first scene in the movie is where Sanjay Dutt (Ranbir Kapoor) is looking for a writer for his biography though he is planning to surrender himself to the Supreme Court’s judgment in the Arms Act case. When a film writer fails to write the biography of Sanjay Dutt, then he turned to a more established and known writer Winnie (Anushka Sharma) to write his biography. This different incidents of his life and many insidious things give us an insight of the life of Sanjay Dutt. However, you will not find much on the love front of Sanjay Dutt in the movie, but the relationship between the father and son and with his mother will bring the tear in your eyes and touch your heart. Sanju movie is a full roller-coaster ride of emotion with unmatched drama, comedy and different shades of emotions. Sunil Dutt’s role is played by Paresh Rawal, and some of the most heart touching moments belong to Paresh Rawal and Ranbir Kapoor in the movie.

Manisha Koirala was also very convincing in her role. However, her role was too short, but the scenes between her and Ranbir Kapoor were quite impressive and touching.

The story also shows his best friend Kamlesh (Vicky Kaushal), who is one of the most important characters of the movie and managed to notice his presence throughout the movie. Dia Mirza played the role of his wife Maanyata, which is again a strong character throughout the movie. However, his first wife and his kids were missing from the story, but you don’t mind as the movie is full of emotional ups and downs. Raj Kumar Hirani beautifully portrays each and every side of Sanjay Dutt’s life and did justice with the concept.

Ranbir Kapoor once again proved his acting skills and he is as good as his name in the movie. His acting skills are phenomenal and he made every scene so real and convincing. He played Sanjay Dutt’s role so effortlessly that in most of the scene you believe Sanjay Dutt must have looked and done in the same manner what he did in the movie. We can say that Ranbir Kapoor with his incredible acting fills the movie with full of colors and life. Another milestone of the movie is Vicky Kaushal who played the role of Sanjay’s best friend. He stands tall and his finest performance in the movie is really unforgettable.

AR Rahman, Vikram Montrose’s and Rohan-Rohan music set the right mood in the movie and added more flavor to the movie. Even the background score of the movie is impressive This is a must watch the movie if you are a Ranbir Kapoor fan. The direction of Hirani made this movie so remarkable and beautiful that you easily connect with every scene and emotion of the movie.
