Bollywood Celebrities And Their Odd Jobs Before Entering B-Town

Most of us admire the lifestyle of film actors and always wish to have a lifestyle like them only. We like their expensive cars, branded clothes, designer jewelry and much more which attract us like anything. But, this is one side of story that most of see and know. However, there are some celebrities who are not born with golden spoon and were not so rich before they enter into this glorious industry. There are many celebrities who worked really hard to earn their share of fame, name and money as well. Here, we are sharing list of some most famous celebrities, who did some odd jobs before entering into Bollywood.

Dev Anand: He is one of the greatest actors and used to enjoy a great female fan following when he was on peak of his career. Before entering into this Bollywood industry, he used to work as clerk at the Censor’s office in Mumbai. At that time, he used to earn Rs. 165 only as his month salary.

Amitabh Bachchan: The Bollywood’s mega star Amitabh Bachchan started his career as executive in a shipping company known as Shaw Wallace before entering into Bollywood. He also went on to work as a freight broker for a shipping company names as Bird and Co. He also tried his hands at All India Radio and given the audition for Radio Announcer, but was apparently rejected by AIR for not having the required voice quality.

Rajnikant: The god of South Indian movies Rajnikant had started his career as bus conductor for Bangalore Transport Services (BST) before getting entry into film industry. Initially, he also worked as stage artist and fine-tuned his acting skills. His talent got noticed and he grabbed role in Mythological plays. His hard work and acting skills helped him in getting the entry in Bollywood.

Akshay Kumar: The most talented and versatile actor of Bollywood Akshay Kumar is also self-made man. His original name is Rajiv Bhatia. Before working in movies, he went to Bangkok to study martial arts as he had earned a black belt in Taekwondo. When he was in Bangkok he used to work as a chef and as waiter to earn money and survive in Bangkok. After successfully completing his course, he came back to India and started working as martial art teacher. One of his students helped him to grab modeling assignment and there is no looking back for this talented actor.

Boman Irani: This super talented actor started his career as waiter and room service attendant at Mumbai’s five star hotel. Then, he tried his hands in photography to support his mother at their ancestral bakery. Finally, he landed up in theatre, which helped him in getting roles in films. Now, we all know this talented actor and love the characters he played in different movies.

Arshad Warsi: He was a door-to-door cosmetic salesman who went on to work in a photo lab. But, he was passionate about dancing and joined Akbar Sami’s Dance Group in Mumbai before getting the golden ticket of Bollywood. He also worked a choreographer with that dancing group for some time.

Nawazudin Siddiqui: He is very versatile and talented actor. In the initial years of his career, he worked as chemist. But, that job did not satisfy him and engaged him for longer period. Then, he moved to Delhi to try his luck. Here in Delhi, he developed interest towards theatre as he worked as a watchman for one and a half year. And then, he took admission into the National School of Drama.
